Jen Mariani · Owner

Hi, I'm Jen, owner of Wag Train Retreat.

Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania, I developed a deep appreciation for animals and the responsibility that comes with caring for them. That passion has followed me throughout my life and inspired me to create Wag Train Retreat.

After spending more than 30 years leading teams, building businesses, and serving customers in the corporate world, I decided to pursue what truly makes me happiest—working with dogs and helping pet owners feel confident that their companions are loved, safe, and well cared for.

At Wag Train Retreat, I offer a personalized experience where every dog is treated like family. Located on six acres in North Carolina, our property provides plenty of room for exercise, enrichment, play, and relaxation. Whether your dog is staying for boarding, enjoying a walk, or participating in training, my goal is to create a safe, structured, and positive environment where they can thrive.

I understand that trusting someone with your dog is a big decision. That's why I focus on building relationships with both pets and their owners through communication, reliability, and genuine care.

When your dog is with me, they're not just another client—they're part of the Wag Train Retreat family.

"Alongside my dogs Thor, Fury, and Mattis, I look forward to welcoming your furry family member to Wag Train Retreat."
